Conclusion

Overall, this course was very useful and expanded my understanding of pre-confederation Canadian history and how that timeframe of events impacted our country. Before taking this class, I had very little knowledge of the history of Canada and how the whole country shifted in 1867. Throughout my time spent in the seminars and classes, I was introduced to new and powerful knowledge of the past brave world leaders, impactful movements, and a change in government that changed our country forever.

Reading log one was the most impactful for my own personal learning and growth, as the readings for that log discussed the Indigenous people of Canada and how they survived new circumstances. Along with this, many of the extra class readings expanded my understanding of what was being discussed in class.

As I walk away from this course, I am better equipped with an unshakable knowledge of pre-confederation Canada and how it relates to our lives now.
